In 2011, a young drummer heard South African saxophonist Hiram Koopman at the Jabula NLCC Conference and decided to pick up the saxophone. Fifteen years later, Jose Sax has played and recorded for more than a hundred artists, toured with the late Dr. Oliver Mtukudzi and shared stages with the late Hugh Masekela and Benjamin Dube.
This anniversary is a thank-you to every couple, family, artist and audience that has invited the golden alto into their moments. There is much more music to come.
